Lekki Conservation Centre

About

The Lekki Conservation Centre is a 78-hectare nature reserve on the Lekki Peninsula in Lagos, established in 1990 by the Nigerian Conservation Foundation. It protects one of the last remaining patches of coastal swamp forest within metropolitan Lagos. The reserve features the longest canopy walkway in Africa (401 meters), mangrove wetlands, and populations of mona monkeys, monitor lizards, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. It serves as a critical ecological corridor in one of the fastest-urbanizing cities on Earth.
