Igun Street in Benin City is the historic home of the Ìgun Erọnmwọn guild, the royal bronze casters of the Benin Kingdom. This UNESCO-listed street has been the continuous seat of lost-wax (cire perdue) bronze casting since at least the 13th century. The guild operates under hereditary lineage and royal charter, producing commemorative heads, plaques, and regalia for the Oba of Benin.
