What are the Collectives?

You decide how it works

This is the founding group. Before we build, we gather. Users get a voice first.

A collective effort

Members define what "trusted" means and how we verify. This is not top down. Your voice matters.

Everything in one place

We are building one hub for volunteer opportunities. No more searching everywhere. One stop.

Questions people ask

Still have a question? Here are answers to the ones people ask most.

JoinBody is building a trust first way to find and share real volunteer opportunities in Nigeria. We are forming the collective first. Then we build the platform together.

JoinBody Collectives are a group of Nigerians (at home and abroad) and global allies coming together to shape how volunteering works in Nigeria. Members decide how we build the platform, what "trusted" means, and how opportunities are shared.

Not yet. We are forming the collective first. We build the platform after the collective agrees on how it should work. This way, the platform serves the people who will actually use it.

Because trust cannot be built alone. The people who will use the platform should shape it. We are gathering perspectives from youth, seniors, diaspora Nigerians, and organizations before we write any marketplace code.

Anyone who cares about volunteering in Nigeria. This includes youth looking for opportunities, seniors with wisdom to share, Nigerians in the diaspora who want to give back, and organizations (NGOs, companies, government bodies) who want to help build a better system.

You will receive a welcome email with more details. We will send occasional updates about how the collective is forming. Once we reach 50 members, we will open a Slack workspace for deeper conversation. The first collective meeting will define how we operate.

We only collect your first name and email. Your email will never be shown in public and we will never sell it. You can unsubscribe from updates anytime. You can also request full removal of your data on our remove name page.

Only if you choose. During signup, you can decide whether your first name appears on our public supporters wall. Your email will never be shown in public.

They are the existing infrastructure, and they will continue to operate independently. JoinBody is building a new, centralized discovery system: one place to find opportunities instead of searching many platforms. We are not unifying their systems; we are creating a new one. Over time, we hope organizations, including these, will choose to post opportunities on JoinBody.

Organizations can apply to become Volunteer Ecosystem Partners. Partners help shape the collective and will be among the first to post verified opportunities when the platform launches. Become a partner.

Yes. The collective welcomes Nigerians in the diaspora and global allies. Many volunteer initiatives benefit from remote support, skills sharing, and funding from abroad.
