Mobilize people? Help shape JoinBody.

A Community Mobilizer is someone who brings people together for social good. This may include NGO founders, volunteer coordinators, civic organizers, grassroots leaders, faith or community service leaders, youth organizers, campus or National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) organizers, and informal organizers who already help people take action in their communities.

You should register if you already organize, coordinate, or share opportunities for people to volunteer, serve, advocate, teach, mentor, support, clean up, respond to community needs, or join social impact work in Nigeria.

JoinBody is working toward a trusted volunteer marketplace for Nigeria. The marketplace is not built yet. This phase is focused on learning from Community Mobilizers through JoinBody Makerspace Workshop sessions so the first marketplace prototype is shaped by real mobilizer needs.

After registration, JoinBody will review your Mobilizer Profile, confirm your Participation Commitment, and share the next steps for your Makerspace Workshop participation. If you consent and your profile is approved, your public profile may also appear on the Community Mobilizers page.

JoinBody Makerspace Workshop is a design thinking session for registered Community Mobilizers. Participants share real challenges they encounter when mobilizing people for volunteer actions. The workshop helps JoinBody understand what the volunteer marketplace prototype should build.

JoinBody will present broad challenge topics and challenges written by community mobilizers during registration. We will use anonymized challenge notes from those responses in resigstration and ask you to explain, correct, or add context. See the full Makerspace agenda.

Yes. Makerspace attendance is required for the Letter and Certificate of Participation, lifetime marketplace benefits, and the JoinBody Volunteer Marketplace Builder recognition. Completing one assigned Makerspace Workshop session is enough.

A JoinBody Volunteer Marketplace Builder is a Community Mobilizer who registered, attended the required Makerspace Workshop, contributed to the co-design process, and has an approved public profile recognizing their role in shaping JoinBody before launch.

No. You are not being asked to buy anything, sell anything, or promote a finished product. You are being invited to share your experience so JoinBody can build with real mobilizer needs in mind.

Your email and phone number will not be shown publicly. During registration, you can choose how your profile should be displayed. Public profiles appear only with consent and after JoinBody review.

Community Mobilizers who complete the Makerspace Workshop participation will receive a Letter and Certificate of Participation and lifetime free access to the JoinBody volunteer marketplace when it launches.

After the marketplace is built, JoinBody plans to support trusted volunteer coordination between mobilizers, organizations, and people who want to serve. Community Mobilizers who participate in this early co-design phase will help shape what the first version should prioritize.

No. JoinBody is not presenting this as a finished marketplace. The current phase is focused on registering Community Mobilizers, learning from their experience, running JoinBody Makerspace Workshop sessions, and shaping the first prototype.

Community Mobilizers already understand how people move into action. They know where trust breaks down, why volunteers drop off, what information people need, and what makes an opportunity feel safe or meaningful. Building with them first helps JoinBody avoid assumptions.

JoinBody was started by a Founding Collective and was being stewarded through its formation phase by the African Impact Initiative, with its interface and design system built by Festa Design Studio. You can also read about the Founding Collective first meeting.

Yes. The main audience for this phase is Community Mobilizers based in Nigeria, but diaspora supporters and global allies are welcome to follow the work and support it where they can. The registration phase is focused on people who actively mobilize communities inside Nigeria.
